Wastewater Treatment Plant

Waste Water Treatment Plant

Treating raw sewage at the Wilsonville Wastewater Treatment Plant is an important, complex operation that involves several processes to ensure all contaminants are removed prior to releasing water back into the environment, and all solid materials are suitably stabilized prior to application to agricultural fields for beneficial use.

The city contracts with Jacobs for operation of the wastewater treatment plant, located at 9275 Southwest Tauchman Road.  The facility has a capacity of 4 million gallons a day to accommodate Wilsonville's continued growth. The facility's effluent is discharged to the Willamette River after completing the filtration and disinfection processes.

City Maintained Facilities:

The Public Works Department maintains the sewer collection system, which consists of 90 miles of pipe, over 2500 sanitary sewer manholes, and eight pumping stations.
