Parks

Wilsonville has 15 public parks, containing four reservable shelters, five sports fields, the historic Stein-Boozier Barn and totaling just under 200 acres. They are in close proximity to many state, regional, and county park facilities, which are located within easy driving or boating distance.

The park system has well distributed neighborhood parks and a wide array of recreational amenities. Throughout the city’s history, there has been well-planned land use and strong efforts to maintain balance between development and the preservation of open spaces, trees, creeks, wetlands, and habitat areas. The varied terrain offers a unique opportunity to access creeks, wetlands, and wooded areas for education and outdoor recreation, not to mention the scenic beauty of the area.

Park Rules in Short

• Park hours are 5:00 am to 10:00 pm unless otherwise approved.
• All Wilsonville parks are smoke and tobacco free.
• Alcohol is not permitted in Wilsonville parks unless approved by permit.
• Dogs are required to be on-leash, except in the Dog Park located in Memorial Park.  Please pick up after your dog!
• Grills are not provided in Wilsonville parks.  Propane BBQs may be brought into Wilsonville Parks but must be kept on paved surfaces. Charcoal grills are not allowed.
• No overnight camping is allowed in parks.
• No fires or camp stoves shall be allowed except in designated areas.
• Abusive, threatening, or indecent language is prohibited in parks.
• Parking in designated areas only, failure to do so may result in towing at owner's expense.

Graham Oaks Nature Park

Graham Oaks Nature Park is located just west of the City and is operated by METRO.  The 250 acre park features three miles of trails allowing visitors to explore several habitats in a single park. Cyclists and joggers can take the paved Tonquin Trail, while a spur trail leads to a wetland overlook, and Coyote Way meanders through young oak woodlands. For a bit of shade, follow the Legacy Creek Trail through a rich conifer forest where thousands of species thrive. Be sure to visit Graham Oaks’ five plazas – perfect spots to rest, reflect and learn about the park. Be on the lookout for native wildlife such as white-breasted nuthatch, Western bluebird, orange-crowned warbler and Western gray squirrels.

Future Development

There are a number of exciting developments planned in the near future that will greatly enhance the Wilsonville parks system.

Residential development at Villebois will bring trails and greenways, neighborhood parks, and pocket parks. The Villebois Greenway will connect regionally significant open spaces in Coffee Creek Wetlands and the Graham Oaks Natural Area forming the Tonquin Regional Trail.

Additionally, future development will provide sports fields at school sites, as well as a 10 acre park planned south of Advance Road.
