SMART Transit provides free assistance to employers setting up transportation programs through the SMART Options commuter program.

To determine if the program is for you, consider the following questions:

• Do your employees have trouble getting to work?
• Are your employees concerned about how much they spend on transportation?
• Is there a shortage of parking at your work site?
• Would you like to attract a more qualified workforce?
• Are you interested in promoting healthy habits for your workers?
• Do you want to do something good for the environment?
• Do you need help complying with the DEQ ECO rule?
• Could your company use some good PR?
• Are you interested in forming a SMART subsidized Vanpool?
• Are you interested in offering Emergency Rides Home to employees?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, this program can help.

Designate an employee or employee group as a TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR to champion your transportation program. Your employee transportation coordinator will also serve as a liaison between your company and SMART. We’ll provide coaching, information and connect you with free commuting resources.

SMART Options can help your employees find the best way to get to work, whether by transit (bus or train), car / vanpooling, walking, bicycling, teleworking, or even close-to-home commuting, 

We can help set up vanpools,  and hold transportation  information tables at your work site. Let us help save your employees some money on their commute.
