SMART Summer Internship Program
Are you passionate about alternative modes of transportation including public transit, biking, and walking? Do you enjoy engaging with different members of the community? Would you like to be creative in a work setting? Then you may be interested in our summer internship program!
SMART offers a great opportunity to work in the transportation and public service fields. We welcome undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical experience working directly on real-time projects with our community.

Typical internship activities include:
- Community outreach about SMART services at employer, community, and school events
- Creating brochures, flyers, and social media ads
- Assisting with Learn-to-Ride bike clinics and Bike Adventure Camp bike program
- Assisting with Walk-at-Lunch program
Past SMART special projects include:
- Creating Wilsonville walking maps
- Creating GIS layer for bus stops
- Inventorying bus stop signs
- Leading bike rides
- Conducting community surveys
